Gestures
Create and design an interactive workshop kit that raises awareness of Sri Lankan Sign Language in schools, promoting accessibility and inclusive learning through playful visuals, engaging materials, and thoughtful design.

The name WOOFZY connects both to the product and its primary users “woof” representing the sound dogs make, and the “zy” suggesting how easy and quick the toys are to produce. In terms of visual style, research showed that dogs can perceive lighter hues such as pink, light blue, and light green, similar to the palette used in the Australian animated show Bluey. Overall, the brand emphasizes playfulness, capturing the energetic and fun nature of dogs while creating toys that are visually engaging for both pets and owners.
Working on this project allowed me to explore how inclusive design can make learning more engaging and accessible. By creating a student booklet, trifold brochure, social media campaign, and the Gestures Companion AI bot, I aimed to combine education with interaction. This process taught me the importance of designing learning materials that not only inform but also connect with students, helping them understand sign language in a playful and meaningful way.
