This project focuses on understanding the needs of the people your designs are intended to help and developing solutions that improve their everyday experiences.

To bridge the gap between designers and individuals with dwarfism, Standpoint offers a digital platform that fosters understanding through shared stories, reflective tools, and inclusive design guidelines. It allows members of the dwarfism community to share their experiences while giving designers access to practical guidance and real world insights through continuous feedback loops. The platform is organized into four key sections: Community Wall, Design Reflection, Design Guidelines, and Dwarfism Hub (community page).
The problem is that the exclusion of people with dwarfism in design, media, and processes has created numerous challenges. When this group is left out of design thinking, spaces and communication materials are often created that do not meet their needs. This lack of inclusion can also perpetuate stereotypes, especially when harsh taglines or insensitive portrayals are used by media professionals and designers.
